Drinking enough water is one of the best things you can do for your health. It helps with just about every aspect of wellbeing!
Some examples include: lubricating the joints and plumping up the discs for less pain, making the muscles and ligaments more flexible, improved digestion, higher energy levels, optimal blood sugar levels, decreased anxiety, better regulation of body temperatures… just to name a few. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, irritability and kidney stones, and sluggish metabolism.
And yet — 75% of Americans are dehydrated
We wanted to offer some strategies to stay hydrated, especially during the winter, when the dry indoor heat tends to leave us a bit extra parched.
Carry a reusable metal or glass water bottle. Please use our gift of this PATH water bottle to help with that. It is non reactive aluminum, reusable, and when it comes time for it can be recycled.
In the morning add a splash of lemon juice & a pinch of salt to some warm water to get your digestion, health, alkalinity and digestion off to a good start.
During the day add some healthy (low sugar) electrolytes to the water to keep it more fun to drink and also your body absorbs water better when it is presented through a variety of osmotic potentials.
Have a charcoal filter at home to help the water taste better and be free from impurities.
